Maui Dog Poop Patrol

So, I was walking down the sidewalk on my way to do a beach run with my dog in quaint Paia, HI and right in front of a restaurant that was about to open what did I see?

Three pieces. Yep, three piece of poop right there on the sidewalk for people to step right in.

In fact I warned the women who was coming outside as she was setting up to open about the 3 POS (text short cut for piece of sh*t), had I not she was about to smoosh it all over her sexy sandal she’d chosen to wear for work that day.

I had seen it, walked by it, and was on my way back to pick it up as I was in the midst of being disgusted and planning the Maui Dog Poop Patrol campaign. Lucky for her.

Come On Dog People, Pick Up the Poop

We who love the fact that Maui is dog friendly want to keep it that way. The number one thing we can do to ensure that happens?

Pick up the poo, doo, tootsie roll, shit…. whatever you want to call it….. PICK IT UP.

Granted, this message is probably not going to get to those who violate the pick up the poop rule. Which is a real bummer. So, knowing that I’m creating the Maui Dog Poop Patrol. And membership is for those who love taking their dog with them and want to Keep Maui Dog Friendly.

Maui Dog Poop Patrol Keep Maui Dog Friendly Creed

  1. Pick up your dog’s poop.
  2. Put your dog on a leash when you see people you don’t know and your dog is not next to you!
  3. Here’s the one that you have to count on for good karma …. pick up other dog’s poop when you see it.

That’s pretty much it. I could go on about all kinds of good things to do with your dog but the top two things to keep Maui dog friendly are:

Pick up your dog’s poop and other people’s dogs’ POS that they rudely left behind!

Put your dog on a leash when people who don’t have dogs are in the vicinity.

Now get out and play…. or come to a K9 Cross Fitness Class!

Oh, and here’s a video with Mark Zuckerberg demonstrating how he picks up his dog’s poo and that it is indeed okay to use any color bag you’d like!
